A former associate Pastor has been charged in relation to Sexual Assault and Sexual Exploitation, dating back to 2008.
In August 2016, the Sexual Assault Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation in to a complaint of a historic sexual assault and sexual exploitation. The female victim was 17-years-old at the time of the offence. 38-year-old Michael Oliver Fisher of Antigonish, was an associate Pastor in Upper Hammonds Plains at the time of the offence. Since then, Fisher has been involved with youth through his work in other parts of Nova Scotia. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on July 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. |
