| If you use Facebook Messenger, prepare to start seeing ads on your home screen. Stan Chudnovsky, head of product for Facebook Messenger, has confirmed that home screen ads will begin being tested around the world. They were previously in beta testing in Thailand and Australia, and Chudnovsky estimates that most users will begin seeing these ads in their Messenger home screen by the end of 2017. “We’ll start slow,” Chudnovsky explained. “When the average user can be sure to see them we truly don’t know because we’re just going to be very data-driven and user feedback-driven on making that decision.” |
