Four officers indicted for beating innocent man after fiery crash

Four police officers in New Jersey have been hit with charges following the brutal beating of an innocent man. According to NBC New York, the charges against them range from aggravated assault to attempted murder. Esther Suarez, the Hudson County Prosecutor, told the publication a grand jury returned the indictment against Lt. Keith Ludwig, MD Khan and Officers Eric Kosinski and Francisco Rodriguez in the June 4 incident, which occurred in Jersey City. When the beating occurred, the officers were attempting to stop a vehicle driven by Leo Pinkston late at night. Police had been chasing the suspect after he fled custody. During the pursuit, Pinkston crashed into several vehicles. As a result, police fired shots. Eventually, he hit a car that then collided with a utility pole and sparked a major blaze.
